Here's my problem with these porn comics with humor and a plot, a lot of the parts in this comic are really funny and would be amazing by themselves outside of a porn comic being used for something better. Just have it be porn with a little plot mixed into it.

You have to choose the right section of R34, Although nothing is 100% safe (like I thought mario was gonna be (and also WTF is up with these Mario porn comics half of them have some kinda death or gore in them (I mean this one did it funnily but still death, at least there was no blood..)))
I blame MatPat, he made Mario seem way darker than it really is. I mean he seems like a cool dude, but there really is very little to read into in Mario.
To jack off I'd say Author Fred Perry. Although he has some curry shit. But the ate is good and it's a really nice fap material. Also, the comics are practically always based on a show, movie, or game.
