When you hear about something like the guys dying on a sub in the news and see people making a big deal out of it do you ever just stop to think something like "Well a lot of worse shit than this is happening elsewhere and people don't seem to give a fuck"? Remember Ukraine? Yeah that's still happening. Also, if you'd say it's "too soon" to joke about what happened to the 5 sub guys now then note that you imply that it''ll be fine to joke about their deaths later. Kinda fucked up.
Is it bad that when I saw that a couple of people died in a submarine I dead serious said: "oh damn, that sucks." And just moved on with my day? Like, it didn't even phase me. Hell, I even watched a video a while later on it out of pure curiosity and I still didn't give a shit whatsoever.
And it wasn't because they were rich, it wasn't because i I thought it was their faults, and it wasn't even that I was in shock or disbelief, I just straight up didn't care nor want to at all. Like I'm just.. Desensitized to death at this point completely.

That ONLY and just BARELY applies to Stockton Rush. He intentionally used subpar materials from sketchy suppliers in an attempt to make his name in history for "innovation by breaking the rules" knowing full well that the sub was not suited for those depths and would be putting passengers in danger. The passengers are a victim of an incompetent fucktard and shouldn't be made fun of simply because they were rich.
Let's not pretend like they didn't know the risks. They all had to sign a waiver that multiple times highlighted the fact they could die, and that the sub was an unreliable piece of shit.
