Hm... For this to qualify as canonically feasable, the events must occur roughly after Sonic Advance 2; where for reasons I still don't understand, Eggman kidnaps Vanilla. (She falls through the sky and is caught by Sonic & Tails in Tails' plane, after she is released from the mech you fight as Super Sonic. It... Kinda looks like an odd worm or snake. But in space. As most, if not all, Super fights ["EX Stage" in the Advance series] happen in space.)
