Lie whispers of secrets too dark to keep.
The tomes of knowledge, bound in despair,
Accursed scripture, a burden to bear.
I tread lightly, my heart beats fast,
For every word could unravel the past.
Pages that tremble with sins long confined,
A truth that beckons, yet chills the mind.
So I turn away, let the silence reign,
Ignoring the pull of that sinister strain.
For some truths are better left unexpressed,
In shadows I linger, my fears addressed.
