I dont believe Being a furry is a Negative or diseased state of mind.
The link between Furries and Mental Illness is a Stereotype which can be disproven easily.
Theres quite a lot of People that find Furries appealing just how We find Cartoons and Drawings appealing. Which eventually absorbs them into the Community. Its Also another fast and easy way to socialize in online spaces.
In 2007 a study was performed and showed that 38% described the involvement as a route to "socialize with others that share common interests".
However, i do understand your point of view, As most Furries mainly suffer with: Depression, ADHD, Anxiety or other psychological Symptoms. Of course some bad apples have poisoned the outside looks of it, But even they Hate the weird people that have done "weird" or "inhumane" things to others or animals.
Furries Do not equal mental illness and isnt quoted as one. Yes a majority suffer from mental illness and its a get away or a "Solace" for what happens in their life.
