I like to think at least some of these are canon just given how dark the ending of the original novel "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" was I want my boi Quasi to at least have a win.
For those who don't know the original ending to the story Frollo hangs Esmeralda which causes "The Hunchback" (I don't remember him ever being called Quasimodo I think that was purely a Disney version thing) to kill Frollo for revenge for killing the one person who was ever nice to him.
Years later the skeletons of Esmeralda and the "hunchbacked figure" in the tomb embracing each other which implies that the hunchback crawled into Esmeralda's tomb with and just laid there until he died grief stricken and overcome with despair.
