i forgot the specifics for each species, but black people in Naylor's comics are represented as hyenas and zebras. i think the black cats are white people who grew up poor

hyena and zebras = black

mouse = jewish

rabbit = catholic and/or irish

Siamese cat = vietnamese

dog = white

white husky = russian

red panda = japanese

racoon = indigenous american
