NeZha I want YOUR opinion about East Asian Politics.

What is your opinion on the state of the East Asia?  How do you feel about the direction the countries are facing geopolitically? Maybe what do you think are the biggest challenges facing the various nations right now?

I know I stole ts, but people were complaining the US and Europe topics were getting racist, so I wanted to talk about something that's on my home turf that has REAL racism.

run down of Asian politics to the best of my knowledge:

- Americans are really fucking pompous and spoiled, crying about "we live in the most racist and fascist country on earth". they have no idea what real racism and fascism is like. if they lived under real fascism, they would already be dead.

- anyone who is still supporting communism is an absolute retard who does not pay attention to history. China knows this, which is why they rewrite history all the fucking time.

- Vietnam's economy is totally fucked. Communism is so bad that somehow their economy got worse after WINNING a war. Vietnams economy is so fucked that politicians are incentivized to take bribes because they cant even afford to pay rent in the cities they run. The biggest nail was that issue a few years back with that banking fraud that caused the country to lose $24B USD, which is 6% lost in the country's GDP

- China is still trying to invade the South East Asia sea, claiming as their own because "we owned it thousands of years ago". Calling the territory "the nine-dash line". China wants it for fishing, mining, drilling, trade control, and strategic positioning. All the South East Asian countries, and even Japan, are working together to stop China from encroaching. China has been using the loophole of "we own the sea surrounding any of our islands" so they've been building a bunch of artificial islands. About a year back, Chinese navy got into a scuffle with Filipino ships, the ships crashed into each otehr and cause one of the fishers to lose a finger. If anyone would have died, The Philippines would have declared war.

- Similar to how Americans are complaining about "invasion by immigrants", we are ACTUALLY suffering that. China has been trying to force their citizens loyal to the CCP to live overseas and gain citizenship or sympathy in order to sway politicians that are pro-Chinese. Its the absolute worse in Taiwan because they think they fucking own us.

- idk enough about Myammar. All i know is that they currently have a civil war because the military took over as a fascist regime. I have a Myammar colleague and I hate him. I heard the military is holding his family hostage in order to convince him to go back to get drafted. He's currently sending money back home to "pay for their war efforts" so that they wont hurt his family. It sounds awful, but hes a POS so i dont feel so bad.

- Robot Kanye is Japanese so he can speak more on this, but Japan has their new female prime minister, and she hates immigrants. Makes sense when they are a peaceful country that's being bombarded by Johnny Somali, Logan Paul, and other assholes who dont have basic etiquette. Also Japan is rebuilding their navy, first time since WW2, in order to prepare for the possible attack from China. Japan promised to help defend us since we have a fairly strong army but weak navy (which i doubt would be much help either since itll likely be missile warfare. what we need are interceptors)

- if you do not know already, Taiwan specialized in semiconductors, aka computer chips. Nearly all the computer chips on each come from us. China wants to take over not just because they think they own us, but because they want the edge in computer chips. due to embargos placed by the US, China has no access to Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturing technology. In short, we just say that theyre 15 years behind because every new tech they make has the same specs as  tech we made 15 years ago (its why DeepSeek is so valued because its AI that can run on weaker hardware compared to the overbloated mess that is ChatGTP)

- recently, co-founder of SuperMicron was trying to smuggle supercomputers into China and got caught. Pissed me off cause i had shares in SuperMicron, but not as pissed as my family still living in the US who lost thousands (literally saw him throw glass at the wall)

- Korea is depressing as fuck. they have known sex-offenders and traffikers but they cant do anything about it because those rapists are crucial to Korea's economy. actually moving towards the cyberpunk dystopia.

- both Korean and Japanese government are run by a bunch of boomers who are stuck in their 80s hayday, and focus on appealing to other boomers instead of young adults who are looking for work. Both youths just give up on life. Korea had a feminism movement called the 4th wave to combat the rampant sexism in Korea, causing increased sexism and drastic decrease in couples.

- China's real estate economy collapsed, literally. For the last decade, they have been skimping out and cutting corners on their construction, which is now causing nearly every building built within the last 10 years to collapse. Homes are no longer worth buying and people who pre-paid their mortgages are not getting their money back.

- China's young adult population has also given up on life. China is full of homeless streamers, literally streamers sitting on the street doing make-up tutorials and shit.

- China's internally collapsing economy may either mean they are more likely to invade Taiwan for a boost in economic and moral, or they are now less likely to invade to focus on internal conflict.

- Bangladesh government collapse, thats all i know

- Korea placed Johnny Somali in 30 years in prison with hard labor. But because he is also a registered sex-offender, he is not allowed to work on a farm. he has to stay indoors at all times working in a factory. Everyone in Asia is happy about this.

- Hong Kong had that revolt some year back that they lost. Which is a shame. Now Hong Kong is more or less a part of China. Hopefully we aren't like that

Gonna be honest, not reading all that, but I skimmed and yeah, most of Asia is actually hell.

I cant talk about most of your points, like Chinese immigrants, real estate, and birth declining, but I can say we shouldn't compare dick sizes about who has it worse. Everyone's in the shit together.

- US just gave Taiwan 108 M1A2T tanks (thank you to all the American users for your 1.28 billion tax dollars). Our government is still debating on increasing the defense budget to $39B USD. The pro-CCP party Kuomintang is trying to impeach President Lai for treason against China, which will go nowhere because the Democrats hold the majority seats.  US military is moving into the East Asia Sea and has set up missiles across the small islands near Taiwan and promised defense for not just Taiwan but also the Philippines. Japan and US just ran military exercises on filipino soil
- Japan just removed it own ban on exporting lethal weapons, it will now give/sell military weapons like fighter jets, destroyers, and missiles to countries like S Korea, Taiwan, and Philippines. Also Japan is making deals with the US to create a joint military drone manufacturing base.
- CCP is responding by threatening the EU countries like Germany and Czech Republic should they continue to export firearms to Taiwan and Philippines.
- a bunch of CCP loyalists in Canada just got arrested because they were using a SMS blaster, a device that mimics a cellphone tower so that cellphones within proximity would connect to it and collect their private info
- Facebook bought an AI startup company from China called Manus and now the CCP has banned the founded from leaving the country to prevent the deal from solidifying. this is an effort to prevent the US from getting the advanatge in AI.
- China is facing a massive increase in lung cancer in their population, most likely linked to their ever increasing pollution. China now makes up 68-70% of all reported lung cancer cases worldwide. There are now entire villages that are majority cancer-ridden due to being near rivers of toxic waste or smog.
- cancer rate is so bad, the CCP is now advising doctors to not tell patients if they have cancer to prevent national panic. Now doctors will now require permission of disclosure from the patients family to give the bad news. this has lead to less than 45% of chinese cancer patients ever being aware that they have cancer.

Did you know that the DPRK makes some of its citizens to join IT companies in the West (remote work)? Their real mission is to infiltrate those companies and gather intelligence.

The workers forced into this scheme are kept in small, camera‑monitored rooms. They work over ten hours a day, and 80–90% of their remote earnings go straight to the state - mostly to fund privileges for the so‑called 'Workers' Party of Korea' and its weapons programs.

In one case, a woman in the US was recruited into the spy network to set up a remote work farm specifically for North Korean IT workers. These workers also operate from Manchuria, inside the PRC.

And yet, the insufferable tankies will keep worshipping this 'socialism'...

I'm a full on monarchist myself, it has served us well for millenia and only recently came down because everyone got an ego and thought everyone voting would be a good idea. How well do the politicans you vote for represent your ideas? and how much accountability is there when politicians are changed out every 4 years?

ive only seen one other person support total authoritarianism. Yes, a single ruler is able to act quickly, but what is to stop the ruler from acting against the interest of the people and the kingdom? It's high risk high reward. Not to mention that a single person cannot understand the perspectives and nuance of all the subjects in the kingdom, and therefore cannot expertly make decisions with so little knowledge.

Yes a politician seldomly acts in accordance to the people, because they suffer the same problems that kings do, lack of understanding of the common people. With a large group of other politicians via a revolving door, this prevents a single person from creating a catastrophe

A monarch is not a authoritarian despite popular depictions, usually they interact with other powers in order to rule the country effectively. Think like a city would have a democratically elected leader and the monarch would be responsible for the larger nation and have an investment in seeing it do well because their fate is tied to it. Unlike the CCP and DPRK where they're beholden to the whims of the party which necessitates their brutality to keep the party supporting them.

Socialism/communism is the surface level dream of a unattainable utopia. It appeals to the stupid and the lazy. It is easier to claim all the bad news about communism as "sabotage by the US" or "wasnt real communism" rather than taking accountability.

I get where you're coming from. The internet has a lot of 'CIA sabotage' types. And honestly I do not fully get who is mass producing these people.

But the 'stupid and lazy' part - I just can't agree. Empirically, some very smart people (Einstein, for example) supported socialist ideas. That doesn't make them right, but it does mean the label 'stupid or lazy' doesn't fit.

As for utopia. Let us consider the fact that 200 years ago there was no centralized heating, education, etc.
And even if you know my position on state power, etc., it is undeniable we have made huge socio-cultural progress. I think that the 'bureaucracy question,' first defined by Einstein and later worked on by Stafford Beer, can be resolved; it is a question of social design.
I get the skepticism given the Soviet Union and shitholes like North Korea, but I do not believe one has to say a plane is a bad idea because a specific plane model did not work at all.
At least this is my view.

a lot of smart people are only smart in a specific subject. Einstein is a theoretical physicist, not a economist. He has been wrong many times before, especially in subjects outside his expertise (for example his famous quote about bees which was widely accepted for the longest time was easily debunked).

Quick side note that bee quote isn't actually Einstein's.

My main point wasn't about his authority anyway. It was that calling socialist ideas 'stupid and lazy' ignores a long history of thoughtful, hardworking people who disagree with you.

Take Paul Sweezy a Harvard-trained economist whom even the Nobel laureate Paul Samuelson (no socialist himself) called "the best that Exeter and Harvard can produce."

Anyway, we don't have to agree. Just wanted to clarify where I'm coming from.

Can't deny its unattainable for the human to achieve communism but then theres also just the problems that you mentioned that most communist experiments either got actively sabotaged or were abominations of the concept that communism was supposed to be

communism at best can only function within a small community of people since the population is small enough to keep everyone accountable and to better understand the needs of each individual.

To be fair to the fathers of scientific socialism, they based their militia model on Switzerland. Swiss citizens were trained in handling their weapons. The main point is that the weaponry should be stored at home, as the Swiss did, so that the government could not seize the arms in order to establish a dictatorship.

Yeahh im not getting the reference but I also wouldn't want communism to be used in a huge nation more like smaller nations or straight up only in places where it makes sense

hes essentially saying that communism even at its best and most ideal would still be open to external threats. The best way for a civilization to thrive is not just maintain order from within, but to evolve and prepare for external threats.

there was no reference, I was just pointing out that Marx wanted communism on a mass scale even tho getting rid of all that shit would leave people in complete anarchy.

But yeah Ive heard since North Korea is embargoed by nearly every nation on earth, the only way they can increase their GDP is to run hack other nations. I heard a story about a north korean mathlete who found out he will be conscripted to join the hacking program after highschool, so on his last international math olympiad, he snuck out of the hotel, went to the airport, and found a south korean airline to help him defect. North Korea stopped participating in international math competitions for awhile and only came back with several guards.

Leona might know more, but all of this happened over Twitter:

- Koreans and Malaysians argue over tourism photography etiquette (Koreans say respect peoples privacy and dont take pictures of them, while Malaysians say "if its public and legal, its free game"

- Koreans call Malaysians a subpar species of humans who rely on Kpop to have any culture.

- Indonesia pops in and says south asia doesnt have a leader (na is slang for main character) and if there was, it wouldnt be Korea.

- Koreans respond by making fun of their uncentralized south east asian unity via tiktok dances and music vidoes

- The Philippines and Thailand jump in and push back at Korea with more racism

- Korea calls all South East Asians as subhumans who sympathize with their colonizers

- Vietnam jumps in since they fought their colonizers multiple times and accuse Korea of various war crimes.

- Koreans call the Indians and Pakistanis subhuman.

- Indians and Pakistanis band together for their mutual hatred of Koreans

US and Indonesia just signed a deal to grant military access to the Strait of Malacca. Current discussions are still ongoing to use Indonesian airspace.

Safe to say, US is now getting involved into the China conflict, WW3 might happen and I might get drafted, if the missiles to hit my house first. LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO

Do you think the Palestinian tactic of hiding behind children would work, or do you think the Chinese are too Jewish to care?

I highly doubt that China will go to war with anyone especially the US, given its current problems. If China is struggling with India then it's not capable military the only scary thing it can do is unleash biological weapons which it does constantly.

NeZha's picture

Heres my guess: im only kidding about an all out war, there may be skirmishes that could possibly LEAD to war, but nothing close to reaching a guarantee.

China is indeed struggling, but its not a unified way like Russia or Iran (and unified meaning people in government. the civilians will always be against war). Xi Jiping is struggling to maintain power since he is losing favor with the people and other members of the CCP are all clambering to replace him. Any attempt to open war would be used by opposing politicians to levy support to take control of his chair (similar to how the US democrats and republicans levy opposing politics). However, just because there is no open war doesn't mean China is not currently taking military action in the south asian sea. China is still sending out military ships across the sea to bully fishing boats of other nations and continuing their construction of their military bases on fake islands. My guess is that the US is now going to bring in their military to form a blockade to force China to pull back their navy to the agreed upon sea border.

the issue with India as far as i know was that  they signed an agreementent that their border patrol will only use melee weapons to prevent escalation.

I've seen the chinese navy harass other nations and people, which is a good indicator of their situation given that they have to score propaganda wins against tiny nations. Unfortunately it's one of those things where western nations fighting on the other side of the globe no matter how justified, because China is at best psychopathic in that they'll destroy themselves to destroy everyone else isn't a possibility. The world is in a declining period and there won't be a strong successor anytime soon.
