Ah haven't commented here yet, let me go through my list... Theres obvious ones like Terraria,The binding of Isaac,OG Hollow knight,Stardew and so on.
Idk how popular these are but heres 2 categories I can think of
Survival? Necesse, Core Keeper and Abiotic Factor all of them are great games.
Plattformers? Loved VVVVVV but if 3d's more your style theres Blue fire or Pseudoregalla
And now just random ones that I think people may have heard of but probably didn't touch
Game Dev Tycoon is an old classic by now, I don't care if it was popular but Firewatch was good, Trepang2 was a nice shooter experience, Etherborn had that Mario Galaxy camera and its puzzles were good then theres Inside,Foregone,Ashen,Mindustry,Magicka,Aragami,Ape Out,Atomicrops,A story about my Uncle and I could go on and on. Ok but for real last ones Intruder and Perfect Heist 2 are some great multiplayer games with a party of friends. Theres way too many indies I like and that was only a small portion im sure I could come up with some retro classics aswell but I'll leave it here
Most are lightweight enough to run on my laptop. Soo I just resorted to play indies during slow days, better than doing nothing while waiting on new orders.
There are some some small bland arguments like that Undertale is atleast a finished product or that the time between undertale and Deltarune chapter 1 is a smaller gap than Deltarune chapter 1 and chapter 3&4.
Like atleast there aren't multiple cliffhangers in Undertale you know thats an argument people make for some reason even though Deltarune and Undertale are leagues between eachother and not comparable.
