Depends on genre. Like if you love more slower, "lore-rich" game, then I'd recommend the classic persona, yakuza. I've never played this genre a lot, so i can't say much, except I've heard that omori, until then, 7 day to end with you are gems in (visual novels?)
Sandbox: minecraft with mods, hytale is good, vintage story is peak, but you can't pirate it iirc. Terraria is good. No man's sky is definitely a good choice too. Haven't played much of sandboxes tho.
I don't play a lot of PvP games, so can't say much. I'd love to play "SAND", but it's PvPvE extraction shooter, and I'm a casual loser hating the loss of progress. Heard a lot of hype around arc raiders, but I'm an university student studying in another city, I didn't have access to my PC during that time.
PvE shooters: Deep Rock Galactic, they should release new game, rogue core, looking forward to buy it. Jump Space is in early access, but i fucking love space themed games.
Roguelites: Hades 2 deserved game of the year, or at least in it's genre. Dead cells (preferably with all DLCs bought/pirated, this goes with all games that have DLCs).
Singleplayer games are cyberpunk/witcher 3, Baldur's Gate, stalker 2, fallout, Metro, Last train home, a lot of other games.
A mishmash of without genres:
Mount and blade: bannerlord
Wynncraft, it's a Minecraft server, a cool MMORPG one
Peak
Helldivers 2
Slime rancher
"Rock of ages" is an old funny game
Balatro
Eve online
Celeste
Honestly haven't played a lot of games recently, so I'm forgetting like half of them. Learn to either pirate the games if u can't afford them, or buy the original game and pirate DLCs. Buy the game or DLCs if games are really good and u enjoyed them
Really love that and the first one. The combat just hits right and the game ended right when I was getting starting to get tired of it.
Divinity original sin 1&2
Oceanhorn
Pseudoregalia
The invincible
Any Nier game
The sonic adventure games
Sleeping dogs
Absolver
Endoparasitic
Obama boss fight
Dragons dogma
VVVVV
Core keeper
West of Dead
I think thats enough probably-
- Elden Ring
- Sekiro
- Lies of P
- Hollow Knight
- Silksong
- Nine Sols
- Sifu
Haven't played the others, but Hollow Knight is a really fun game
I beat 3 out of the 5 pantheons and the radiance
- Elden Ring, everyone already knows at this point. worth the title of one of the greatest games in history. Its also the easiest Souls like game because there's so much flexibility in creativity.
- Sekiro is the hardest game produced by FromSoft because there is so much emphasis on parrying
- Lies of P is like Sekiro, but harder. There is also an emphasis on parrying but the timing window is smaller. Sekiro gives you 12 frames to parry and Lies of P only gives you 1.
- youve obviously heard of Silksong if youve played Hollow Knight.
- Nine Sols is a metroidvania game that has a lot of parrying in it as well
- Sifu is a VERY punishing game which i consider to be harder than Sekiro. The game is less than an hour long, but only if youre good. it could easily take more than 50 hours to beat the game.
Is this limited to PC games?
If not, Castlevania Aria of Sorrow and Castlevania Symphony of the Night are great times.
Its been a solid 2-3 years since i last gave it a shot but basically it boiled down to this
Caving was not fun
The intro wasn't interesting
The planet i landed on felt barren and empty
The village i found was a ghost town.
The only time i played it was in multiplayer both my friend and me got bored around 2 hours in and goofed around with instruments before hopping off.
I see, try giving it another chance if you had time to play it again, it gets certainly interesting with the advance in the game.
I just don't got that far to get all the experience in the game because my emulator started lagging alot.
